TIMING: The “Qantas Quiz” Sweepstakes (the “Promotion” or the “Sweepstakes”) begins on January 1, 2010 at 12:01AM Eastern Time (ET) and ends on December 31, 2010 at 11:59PM ET (the “Promotion Period”). The Sponsor’s Computer is the official time keeping device for the Promotion.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: To participate in this Sweepstakes, you must be a certified Qantas travel agent, be 21 years of age or older at the time of entry, and either (a) a legal resident of the United States, or (b) a legal resident of Canada (excluding Quebec). Employees of Qantas Airways, Limited (the “Sponsor”), its affiliates, advertising & promotion agencies, as well as any other entity, or individual, directly associated with this promotion, and the immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings and children) and/or household members of these entities, are not eligible to participate.
HOW TO ENTER: Visit www.idealsweepstakes.com/qantasquiz/, complete the online entry form in its entirety, answer all Qantas Quiz questions, and click the submit button to receive an entry into the Quarterly Entry Period during which you submitted your entry (see Drawing and Notification section below for definition of Quarterly Entry Periods). You must correctly answer all Qantas Quiz questions to be eligible for any drawing. Limit: An eligible, certified Qantas travel agent can enter the contest only once during each Quarterly Enter Period.
In case of dispute, an entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet Access Provider, on-line service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. Automated entries are prohibited, and any use of such automated devices will cause disqualification. Sponsor and its advertising/promotional agencies are not responsible for lost, late, illegible, misdirected or stolen entries or transmissions, or problems of any kind whether mechanical, human or electronic.
PRIZES: Grand Prizes: Four (4) Grand Prizes will be awarded. Each Grand Prize consists of two (2) roundtrip economy tickets from San Francisco (SFO) or Los Angeles (LAX) to Sydney on Qantas Airways. The Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of the Grand Prize is $1,300 each.
Grand Prize winners are responsible for all fuel surcharges and all taxes and fees applicable to the transportation. These must be paid before tickets can be issued. All expenses and costs not expressly listed above including, but not limited to, transportation to and from the airports, hotel accommodations/charges, food and beverages, excursions, gratuities, and all taxes (including income taxes on the value of the Grand Prize, if applicable) are solely the winner's responsibility. Grand Prize winners and any travel companions are solely responsible for obtaining all necessary travel documents, including visas and passports. All Grand Prize flights are subject to restrictions, including but not limited to, restrictions on seat availability, blackout dates, and restrictions on transferability.
First Prizes: There are twenty (20) First Prizes of an Aviator Koala or A380 Model Plane. Item to be awarded to each First Prize winner will be determined at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. The ARV of the First Prize is $20 each.
Total ARV of all prizes available to be won: $5,600.
DRAWING AND NOTIFICATION: One (1) Grand Prize and five (5) First Prize winners will be determined in a series of random drawings from among all eligible entries received during each Quarterly Entry Period based upon the entry and drawing dates below. All drawings will be conducted by US Sweepstakes & Fulfillment Co., an Independent Sweepstakes Administrator whose decisions are final on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes.

Winners will be notified by phone, email or mail. Grand Prize winners will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, and, where allowable, a Publicity Release, (collectively, the “Releases”) in order to receive the prize. Releases must be returned within seven (7) days of notification date, or prize will be forfeited. Canadian Residents will be required to correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question before being declared a winner. First Prizes will be awarded to the address provided at entry within 4-6 weeks of the corresponding drawing date. Return of prize or winner notification as undeliverable, failure to respond to any notification, failure to reach the winner and/or failure to provide required Releases in a timely manner may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Non-winning entrants will not be notified.
Odds of winning will depend on the number of entries received during each Quarterly Entry Period.
LIMITATION AGAINST LIABILITY: Winners agree that Sponsor may use their name, photo/likeness and voice for advertising and promotional purposes without further compensation. Sponsor, its promotional and advertising agencies, and all respective officers directors, employees, representatives and agents shall have no liability and shall be held harmless by any winner for any damage, loss or liability to person or property, due in whole or part, directly or indirectly, by reason of the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of prize or participation in this Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend part or all of this Sweepstakes should virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes beyond their reasonable control corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Sweepstakes. In such event, Sponsor may award the prizes in a random drawing from all eligible entries received up to the date of cancellation or suspension. Sponsor and its promotion and advertising agencies are not responsible for technical, hardware, software or telephone failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, fraud, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions, whether caused by the Sponsor, users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the promotion or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions which may damage a user's system or limit a participant's ability to participate in the promotion. Sponsor may prohibit an entrant from participating in the Sweepstakes or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing practices (including the use of automated quick entry programs) or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or Sponsor’s representatives. All federal, state/provincial, and local laws, rules, and regulations apply.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY’S FEES) FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.
